Well, here we are at week 36 and here is what we’ve learned about this little boy:
His resting heart rate was about 140
My amniotic fluid was 17 CM
He is measuring 10 days big
He has a cyst on his right kidney *more on that in a minute
He will be arriving on January 28th!
I had my NST/AFI on friday and my ultrasound which told us that everything is looking good still. The only new thing we learned is that he has a tiny cyst on his kidney. The doctor assured me not to freak out about it because it is probably nothing to even be concerned about. But just to be safe they are going to do an ultrasound on him when he is born & make sure that it isn’t any cause for concern. That’s really all that happened other than deciding to deliver at 37 weeks which is January 28th. I don’t know what time I will be going in or anything like that. We have decided that we want very few visitors at the hospital for a couple of reasons: First of all, we are delivering all the way in Provo which is a long drive for a lot of people. And second, it is winter and since he is going to be early we want to reduce the risk of him catching any colds/flus/etc. Family is always always always welcome! And things might change after he is born, if he is doing great we won’t be so stingy but for now we are asking that only family visit us while we’re in the hospital.
